- -Japan’s ‘Bubble Economy’ increases organized crime.
- 1983:
- -Genom Inc. Is established as a corporation, following the amalgamation of GenTech
Industries and Eclipse Robotics Ltd. They begin research on molecular nanotechnology and
quickly become the leaders in the field.
- 1987:
- -The first suit of powered armor, the US Army’s top-secret Slave Trooper "MADOX-01"
goes out of control in downtown Tokyo.
- 199X:
- -The European Community is organized into a conglomerate of country-states, the EC.
- 1991:
- -A worldwide treaty on the ban of human cloning is proposed. The proposal is ushered out
quickly, by a ratio vote of 3 to 1 against the ban.
- 1993:
- -Research in cybernetics begins through various institutions worldwide. The ICB, or
International Cybernetics Body is formed to regulate and foster growth in the field.
- 1994:
- -The first cloned child is born. She is given her own social security number, and is
considered a separate being from her genetic parent, and legal child of her surrogate mother.
The child dies before she is three, victim of necrotizing fasciitis.
- -Womb Clones become the alternative to invetro fertilization. They are almost a ‘
hot commodity’, because their genes can be tampered with/augmented much more than
regular babies.
- 1996:
- -The first Mega-Conglomeration is given so called ‘Above the law’ status as
it is located in its own country, an Island in the south Pacific: Genisle, home to InGen
Technologies. Many corporations follow suit.
- 1997:
- -Amalgam Prosthetics is absorbed into and combined with Jewel Robotics to create AmJewel,
the first corporation to singularly produce Cybernetics.
- 2004:
- -The beginning of the first polar war heralds new advances in weaponry. Many corporations
begin to exploit both sides, offering aid in exchange for resources.
- 2006:
- -The USSD launches its new space platform program, basically a grid of sixteen orbital
space to space weapons. The story is that they are for incoming space debris and orbitally
deteriorating satellites.
- -Daley Wong is born.
- 2007:
- -Leon McNichol is born.
- 2008:
- -2nd Generation Eyephones are developed by Visual Visionaries Inc. The next day, the
company is bought by Genom.
- 2010:
- -FingerTIPS is absorbed by Genom when they announce their fingertip-motion based Virtual
Reality type manipulators.
- -Sylia Stingray is born.
- 2011:
- -‘Virtual Input’ systems released for public use.
- 2012:
- -Linna Yamazaki is born.
- 2013:
- -Priscilla S. Asagiri is born.

- -Nene Romanova is born.

- -Genom begins strategic purchases and buyouts which will put it in a position of power
after the 2nd Great Kanto Quake.

- -Superconductive rail lines replace all subways in Mega Tokyo.

- -Genetic engineers at InGen begin working with the first completely engineered clones.

- -InGen begins marketing Vat-Growns as an alternative to people for manual labor, warfare,
and dangerous occupations. The Vat-Growns are not considered real people, compared to Womb
Clones, which are.
- 2020:
- -The first Self-aware android is built by Dr.Stingray at Wiz laboratories.
- 2021:
- -Genom begins experiments into Sentient Nanotechnology.
- 2022:
- -Wiz laboratories is burned to the ground in a freak accident.
- -Construction begins (by joint USSD, SDPC, and Genom) on the ‘Triangle’
moonbase.
- 2023:
- -Genom stuns the world by releasing to the public market their androids, called, much to
their chagrin, Boomers. The Boomers are cheap, stable, easy to use, and teach. Shares in
Genom skyrocket with their almost exclusive development.
- -Vat-Grown clones become next to obsolete as Boomers dominate the manual labor and
soldier industries.
- 2024:
- -Construction of Genom Towers around the world begins.
- -The Kuwayama building is completed in Tinsel City, and now houses all facets of the
Normal Police.
- 2025:
- -The second Great Kanto Quake levels most of Tokyo.
- -Genom commits massive amounts of resources to the rebuilding of Tokyo, into the
conglomeration of cities and suburbs into a new High Tech MegaTokyo.
- -Nanotechnology is employed for the first time in large-scale building
reconstruction.
- -Construction is increased on ‘Triangle’ moonbase.
- 2026:
- -SDPC establishes orbital station Genaros-1 as a transfer point to the moonbase.
- 2027:
- -Episodes of ‘Boomer Rampage’ increase dramatically.
- -The first AD Police units are formed, mostly from military personnel. Later in the year,
a series of abandoned buildings are commandeered in the Yokohama district for the growing ADP
.
- 2028:
- -Construction is completed on the 'Triangle' moonbase, and massive amounts of resources
are moved there, to prepare for the upcoming 'Lazy Eight' colonization project.
- 2029:
- -The SDPC sends an ambitious nanotechnology mission to mars, hoping to build
self-replicating terraforming facilities. The project is anticipated to take approximately a
hundred and sixty years for the factories to assemble, and another three to four hundred
years to terraform.
- 2030:
- -Genom’s former headquarters are seized by terrorists; uncontrollable Boomer
involvement brings on an orbital strike by the USSD.
- -Production begins on the 'Lazy Eight' colonization project.
- -The Nishura Building is completed, and all ADP operations are moved there.
- 2031:
- -The EC develops a prototype powered suit for close combat, but when faults are
identified during testing, development is officially halted.
- 2032:
- -Incidents of ‘Boomer Rampage’ continue to rise.
- -Zone Corporation begins construction on generation 2 boomers.
- -USSD platform misfires, destroying MegaTokyo’s Aqua City.
- -The US Dept. Of Defense holds a weapons competition, inviting six of the top
corporations in the world, including Gulf and Bradley and Genom. The winner was
Kyuusei Industries, with their GD-42 Combat Robot. Genom absorbed Kyuusei the next
month.
